I once went to a day retreat for Special Needs moms and caregivers.  I left more discouraged than when I arrived because every testimony and message from the stage what about how God can change my circumstances. 

It was about healing the thing that makes our life hard and not finding grace and hope, even if nothing ever changes.  I made my exit and the earliest possible opportunity, making some excuse about how my son needed me at home and I cried frustrated tears through the long drive back to my family.

That was nearly 10 years ago and since then my circumstances have gotten decidedly worse but my hope and joy have grown exponentially as I have studied God's Word and found that he does some of his best work on my hardest days.

In the last few months, the Lord has put it on my heart to create events for women who find themselves in the middle of a hard season of caregiving.  Wether that is for a parent, spouse or child, my aim is to bring encouragement from scripture to give you hope in the journey and to remind you that this is beautiful and holy work that you have been called to.  

​ I am planning our first Luncheon for September 14th, 2024.  It will be a Saturday from 11:00am to 2:00pm and will include lunch, worship, teaching and encouragement from other moms.  

My hope is that we can do these regularly and eventually expand to retreats and bring them to other locations around the country.  But for this first one it will be held near my home in Elk River, Minnesota.
